- Sarah is a stalwart champion for pro-life causes, and was instrumental in overriding Gov. Mel Carnahan’s veto of the ban on partial-birth abortion.
- Sarah and her husband David are the proud parents of 3 sons and live in Rolla, Missouri.
- Call for a special session of the Missouri General Assembly to pass HB 1831, a bill to ban coercive abortions in Missouri.
- Enact Pharmacists Rights of Conscience legislation. We don’t require doctors to perform abortions, and we should not require pharmacists to fill prescriptions for drugs that cause an abortion. A pharmacist in Missouri was fired for refusing to violate her conscience, necessitating this legislation.
- Ban Abortions performed for reasons of sex selection, potential genetic deformity or potential disability.
- Support a Constitutional Amendment banning assisted suicide or euthanasia. Our Constitution should be clear that assisted suicide or euthanasia will not be tolerated.
- Create the Adoption Loan Fund to help finance the costs of adoption.
- Appoint Conservative Judges. We need judges who enforce the laws, not judges who think they can make the laws. Like many of you, I was deeply disappointed to by the action taken by the California Supreme Court clearing the way for gay marriage in that state.. I am proud to have been the author and sponsor of Missouri’s Constitutional amendment that defines marriage as a union between one man and one woman. As Governor, I will appoint strict constructionist judges to the courts, not activist judges who think they have the authority to write and implement legislation.
