Sarah Steelman is the only economist running for Governor of Missouri. As Missouri’s 44th State Treasurer, Sarah Steelman has brought back more than $1 billion to Missouri and invested in our people, farms, businesses, and communities. The innovative policies implemented by the Treasurer’s Office have earned the state more than $640 million, helping Missouri go from budget deficits to budget surpluses.

As a member of the Missouri Housing Development Commission, Sarah Steelman has worked to utilize various state tax credits and incentives to develop equality housing and stimulate economic growth. It is also worth noting that while there is uncertainty in the national economy, Missouri has maintained its AAA bond rating.

As Governor, Sarah Steelman will work to reduce government regulation, lower taxes, improve access to capital, and leverage state investment to grow Missouri’s economy and create quality jobs.
